The Breath of God

Adam wasn't alive until God's breath entered him.

To this day, we identify if someone is alive by whether they still have breath in their lungs. In a poetic way, God defines His Spirit using the same root word for breath. He even declares that when we invite Him, He will breathe new life into us and empower us to do His will, bear His image, and use the gifts He gave us like never before to co-create with Him here and now! WOW!

The question then becomes, Are you letting Him breathe new life into you?

Are you letting Him take you on adventures into the unknown?

Are you letting God be God?

Sure, He will always be God with or without you. What I mean, however is, Are you letting God be God in your life? Are you taking time to let Him breathe the breath of His Spirit into your mortal body? Are you letting the glory enter the cracked jar of clay? Are you admitting your need for His presence and glory? Are you seeking His face and asking Him to so shine through your life that men “see your good works (of art) and glorify your Father in Heaven?”
