Abundantly Blessed

What if we are missing out on some of the most beautiful blessings that God intends us to experience? What if the joy that we long for in life only comes in the act of giving, of sacrifice, of surrender?

Twice in the last month I’ve had people share with me total MIRACLE stories concerning their finances. I’m talking knock-your-socks-off blessing straight from The Father. Both couples were blown away by God’s goodness. Both were astounded by the Father’s thoughtfulness and even timing of the gift. But there’s one more thing they had in common. Both couples had just told me that they trusted God in the area of their finances like never before LAST MONTH! We’re talking in a matter of weeks, God not only surprised them with a financial miracle but the joy of being out of control.

You read that right… out of control.

You’d think it’d be good to be “in control” right? Wrong. When it comes to following Jesus, we must give HIM control - and it’s not just of our emotions or behaviors or attitudes. It’s even our finances. You see many Christians make Jesus Savior but not Lord. The truth is, He wants to be both. I’m writing a book on this topic all All These Things that will come out in late 2024 (or 2025 =) And in it, I share story after story of God giving people peace when they finally gave control of their finances to God.

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
    their righteousness endures forever.”  Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.  You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needsof the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”

2 COR 9:6-15

What would it feel like to give GOD control in this area? There will be a joy and peace like you’ve never known before!
